1 Round Trip Flight. 1/2 of trip provided. No refund. trip.com STEAL CUSTOMERS MONEY
TWO FLIGHTS CANCELED. NO POSSIBLE REBOOKING THROUGH TRIP.COM, AND THEN REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY I booked a round trip flight from Hong Kong to Charlotte, NC USA. My return flight for February 26th was canceled and rebooked for February 27th. Then the flight on February 27th was canceled hours before takeoff. I was told by trip.com that there were no flights they could rebook me on and suggested that I request a refund. Shortly thereafter, I received an email saying that I would not be receiving a refund.
I am now stranded, with no flight and no refund. A call to trip.com accomplished nothing, although the customer service members who didn't hang up on me mid call (3 hang-ups) were nice enough and unable to do anything.
Just months ago I booked a flight for 4 people (my brother, myself and my 2 elderly parents), only to have it canceled just hours before takeoff. Trip.com's response was essentially "too bad" although they refunded the cost of the flight.
We have booked ticket from C-trip and the last leg of our trip was from Kuala Lumpur to London. The flight was on MAS and flight time in the morning. We received an email from Ctrip at 3:27am that said that the airline has made a change to our flight (booking no: xxxxx). We were horrified and phoned the airline and the receptionist at MAS said that there was no changes made and confirmed that we will depart as scheduled. On looking at the email again, I discovered that it was a different booking number.
This is not the first time, there was also a similar situation in an earlier booking and the email was send in the morning hours before departure.
You can imagine that if we miss our flight, we will need to purchase a new ticket and very costly, let alone miss important meetings in London.
Is this C-trip way to fleece passengers off, so that they could reclaim the fare for their own??
Honestly, after two experiences, I will not book through C-trip anymore.
And I urge all to be careful when booking with this online travel service -- afterall you do not want to miss your flight and go through the hassle of rebooking and you might even have to incur extra hotel costs.
As I said, this is easy and best option for me. I travel a lot and for that I need something that can help me whenever I want. Ctrip provides me on time services, without wasting my time and money. I usually travel on last time minutes like urgent meetings and meet ups etc. Ctrip is quick solution. Not just that, they provide lots of details and discounts on booking hotel, tickets and trip. For best, I use app which is better and handy. I don't have to visit again and again. Just submit what you want and where you are going , and that's it!
